Scholarships for Pakistan

Scholarships
Several German institutions, foremost the DAAD, provide support to foreign students through scholarships. Application forms for scholarships in Germany usually need to be submitted more than a year before the start of the envisaged study programme, according to the deadlines applicable (e.g. the deadline for a scholarhsip application regarding a study programme starting in October 2010 is already in summer 2009). As a general rule, interested indiviuals are advised to start preparations for a scholarship application roughly 1.5 years in advance.
For Pakistani nationals scholarships are currently offered to professionals and doctoral students.
At the PhD level the scholarships are limited to certain fields of study which are humanities, economics and administration, law and social sciences.
At the Master's level, select courses are financially supported by DAAD. For further details on the Master courses currently sponsered, please refer to the brochure "Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries".
