In SAHARO'S next phase of helping poor and particularly flood affected people, we want to help with creation of jobs in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkar, Larkana and in other possible areas.
I have looked at job vacancies in Karachi. There is need for cooks, drivers, carpenters, electricians etc.
We shall like you to identify people who already have some skills and or want to get more skills in order to get a job and settle down in urban areas.
At the same time, we want you to identify people and places who can train these people.
For example, find willing restaurant owners in Karachi, Hyderabad or other places who are willing to teach cooking to five persons (initially) whom we shall identify with your help. SAHARO/ MABEL FOUNDATION willing to consider payment of half or even more salaries of these trainees to the restaurant owners for a reasonable period while these people are getting training.
We want the candidates to learn proper and appropriate manners. We want them to dress properly. We shall be happy to help them with buying appropriate clothing too. We want them to be able to find jobs with some help from all of us.
Later we shall be asking our volunteers to periodically check that these people are indeed learning.
The same will apply to driving schools who can teach people to drive, help them get licenses, and even help them in finding jobs if possible.
The same will apply to carpenters and electricians who are willing to train others.
The same applies to tailor masters who can trainer tailors. SAHARO/ MABEL will be willing to consider buying sewing machines for appropriate people.
PLEASE HELP US IN FINDING RIGHT CANDIDATES AND RIGHT PLACES OF TRAINING. Depending on our experience, we can move to other and bigger projects.
