SAHARO FOUNDATION IN 2010


Washington, DC based Saharo Foundation has been engaged in social services since
few years with special emphasis on underprivileged areas of Sindh. Saharo has stepped
up to save lives, and provide scholarships to highly talented students of educational institutions in Sindh. Following are the special achievements of Saharo Foundation, a volunteer organization with NO paid employees. Saharo Focused on letting people know that "WE CARE FOR YOU".

-Awarded scholarships to students in Sindh. Total amount exceeded Rs.200,000. Students were from Shah Latif University, CMC, and LMC. (Thanks to Prof Chandan Lal)

-Served over 12,000 meals in Flood victims directly through volunteers. (Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Larkana)

-Distributed Eid clothes, meat, and blankets in Flood victims (Larkana and Shikarpur)
Distributed Medicines in CMC and Shikarpur Hospitals

-Distributed ceramic water filters in Flood victims (Thanks to Dr. Khalique Panhwar)

-Fund raising Car wash in DC area (Thanks to Fazal Sirhandi)

-Fund raising Karaoke in DC area (Thanks to Asif Talpur and Himesh)

-Free health camps in Hyderabad/Jamshoro (Thanks to SYC and READ)

-Helped orphan with her marriage in Shikarpur (Thanks to Engr. Riaz Memon)

-Established line of communication for Depression Patients (Thanks to Dr. Siraj Memon)

-Established Saharo Abuse Victim Fund (Thanks to Hasnain Shaikh)

-Focused on Career Counseling, guide to International testings, admission, scholarships, and research (Links available at www.saharofoundation.blogspot.com)

-Social Media tools enabled Saharo to keep volunteers updated (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Distribution List etc.)
