SAHARO Foundation & READ distributed 400 Ration bags near Village Pir Sirhandi,Dist:UmerKot

Friends, as you all aware that Saharo Foundation USA and READ has been always on front line and on grounds to response in calamity like 2010 flood and current disaster in Sindh due to heavy rain,Our volunteers has started relief work and distributed ration and arranged medical in disaster area from 9th of Ramadan.

                  On 22nd of September Saharo Foundation and READ distributed 400 ration bags for approximately for 1000 people and 400 Mosquito nets in  Village Pir Sirhandi near Samaaro, District Umerkot,it was large scale distribution comparatively to other local NGO working in area as it was observed and witnessed by local people such as 800 liter milk ( 300ml per pack) for children and each ration bag contains food for family of five to six people for eight to ten days.

             400 Mosquito nets were also distributed because people cant sleep at night in open sky due to mosquito attacks.

Per Family Package; 

10 Kg Wheat flour 
10 Kg  Rice
3   Kg  cooking Oil
2   kg   Daal Moong
3   Kg   Potato
2   kg   Sugar
2  300ml Milk Pack (For Children)
500 gram Tea bag
one packet Salt
250 grams red chilies
Two   Bath Soap for personal Hygiene
Two  Laundry Soap for washing
          

                 Distribution were monitored by eminent local personalities like Iqbal Jan Sirhandi,Khalid Jan Sirhandi and Professor Nasrullah Laghari.

Importantt: Current funding has been given by Fazal Sirhandi for the poor people of village Pir Sirhandi, the people were very much thankful to Fazal Sirhandi ,SAHARO Foundation and READ chairman Irfan Jumani for their support.

 Appeal;  Sindh and Sindhi people are passing through tough times of modern history. People of Sindh are suffering from hunger  women and children are suffering due to lack of nutritious food.
