Saharo Foundation and READ also distributed Milk Packs for Children under age 5 year


Medical Superintendent Dr Ashraf Bhurghuri and Dr Nazir Laghari Deputy Registrar Taluka Hospital Qasimabad monitor the camps. All people were thankful to Irfan Jumani of READ and Saharo Foundation USA and appreciated its work in remote areas of Sindh. It is believed that rarely people in rural areas receive such sort of sound health services.


We are very humble and thankful to all of you who supported us during this difficult time, furthermore I would add here that Saharo foundation USA and READ has always tried their level best to serve deserving people, to reach out to far-flung areas where normally relief does not reach in required quantity. We carry out these all activities without any discrimination and serve people of all ethnicity. During our tireless efforts we found that our people in Sindh have been facing severe shortage of food, medicine and shelter. Now a days misery and deprivation is destiny of their life. Therefore, we request to all of you please come forward and help us in dragging them from difficulties. Your little support can bring smile in the lives.

Saharo Health Services;

Pediatrician: Our pediatrician Dr. Bashir Ansari and Dr Abdul Qadir Korai has treated 173 children age 1 to 13years children were severely suffering from malnutrition, shortage of blood, diarrhea and other abdominal diseases. Saharo and READ took blood samples of children and carried different tests like hepatitis and blood CP, after tests Read and Saharo foundation provided them on spot medicine and other necessary consultancy.

Gynecologists: Our other specialists were lady doctors Dr Irfana,Dr Samreen,Dr Qasir Sultana, who provided consultancy to women , most of women from 22 to 33 years of age were having anemic and suffering from deficiency of calcium . Women of all ages also found in different diseases like arthritis and other diseases. Our doctor gave them advice and provided them medicine . Total 183 women have been served specially majority of women were from minorities communities like Kolhi and Mengwar .

Eye Specialists: The Saharo and READ also arranged an Ophthalmologist Dr. Ameen Qureshi approximately 154 people were visited and took treatment .READ and Saharo foundation provided them medicine and on spot tests services. Dr Reports that due to deficiency of different vitamins and nutritional deficiency and unavailability of medical facility to poor people were main cause of eye diseases.


Ultrasound: Saharo and READ other main arrangement was Ultrasound facility where Dr Sohail Memon and Dr Nazish Memon did ultrasound tests About 63 women benefited from ultrasound services and got very useful advice and got medicine.


Mobile Blood Laboratory:

Saharo and READ Volunteer Lab Technician took blood samples of Men,Women and children and carried different tests like hepatitis and blood CP, after tests Read and Saharo foundation provided them on spot medicine and other necessary.

Food Distribution:



Saharo Foundation and Read selected farmers and poor people for short relief for food distribution, 100 ration bags were distributed in well deserving beneficiaries.

Each Ration Bag Consists of,

5 kg Atta(wheat flour)
1kg Cooking oil
1 kg Sugar
1 kg Pulse(Daal Chana)
250 grams of Tea Packet
200 gram red chilies
1 Milk packet 250ml
2 Bath Soap
2 Detergent soap
