The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students from Pakistan of high academic standing commencing their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2007.

Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The University offers a range of scholarships for Pakistani students of high academic standing commencing a postgraduate Taught Masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2007.
Pakistan Sheffield Scholarships 2007
We are pleased to offer the Pakistan Sheffield Scholarship 2007 to all Pakistani students commencing a Taught Masters programme in September 2007.
The scholarships are:
£1,500 each for students paying fees between £9,450 – £10,450
£2,000 each for students paying fees between £10,451 upwards
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate Taught Masters programme in September 2007.
You must be an Pakistani national or permanently domiciled in Pakistan.
You must be classified as overseas for fee purposes.
The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
Pakistan 50% Postgraduate Scholarship 2007
There is one Pakistan 50% Postgraduate Scholarship, available for Pakistani students starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2007.
This scholarship is worth 50% of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee for one year of study. The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
To be eligible for the Pakistan 50% Postgraduate Scholarship 2007, applicants must be an Pakistani national or permanently domiciled in Pakistan, apply for a study place by 8 June 2007 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2007.
The Pakistan 50% Postgraduate Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2007 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil
The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships or funding specifically for Pakistani students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Pakistan can apply:
New Route PhD
Tuition fee scholarships are available to students starting a New Route PhD programme in September 2007.
The scholarship is a 25% tuition fee reduction per year for 4 years of the degree programme.
Applicants will be informed automatically if they have been awarded a scholarship. Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
